Jokes
Instead of the remix of "Ground Theme" from Super Mario Bros., the choirs hummed the song "All Star" by Smash Mouth[1][2][3][4].
This rip, like several other earliest GiIvaSunner rips, featured a background image change. At 0:07 the background logo changed to "Onions Make You Cry 3"[5], a Shrek-themed Far Cry 3 parody artwork created by Matbox99 of DeviantArt.
History
This rip was uploaded on the original GiIvaSunner channel on January 14, 2016[6].
The next day, on January 15, 2016, an updated version of this rip was uploaded under the title of A Secret Course (High Quality) - Super Mario Sunshine. It was based on this rip, with a few subtle differences: the "percussion" instrument was replaced by a "finger snapping" instrument, and the "All that glitters is gold / Only shooting stars break the mold" part was performed by a sole "bass" instrument without any instrumental backup. Both rips coexisted until the channel's termination.
This rip hasn't been officially reuploaded since the channel's termination. A Secret Course (High Quality) - Super Mario Sunshine, however, was eventually reuploaded under the title of A Secret Course - Super Mario Sunshine, causing much confusion among long-time viewers.
Trivia
- This rip was the first appearance of All Star.
- Curiously enough, instead of a "Playlist:" line between "Composer:" and "Platform:", the video description instead featured a line saying "High Quality:" and a link to A Secret Course (High Quality) - Super Mario Sunshine[7].
