"Gerudo Valley - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" is a high quality rip of "Gerudo Valley" from the game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Jokes Edit

The melody of "Gerudo Valley" is replaced by the melody of the song "The Final Countdown" by Europe.

History Edit

This rip was originally uploaded on the GiIvaSunner channel on January 11, 2016[1][2][3]. It was the third video uploaded to the GiIvaSunner channel. According to Chaze the Chat, the idea behind this rip was suggested to him by someone as a request[4].

The original upload of this rip had the background logo change to a picture of the band Europe as the melody was changed at 0:14. The audio was also somewhat different. The last iteration of the melody, starting at 1:34, was a bit desynched with the rest of the instrumental. The rip was also 4 seconds longer; those last 4 seconds were just silence[5][6].

On January 12, 2016 Chaze the Chat also uploaded this rip to his SoundCloud page under the title "new zelda valley song LEAKED"[7].

On April 19, 2016 this rip was reuploaded to the SiIvaGunner channel. The reuploaded version doesn't feature any background change anymore, the last 4 seconds of silence are cut, and the last iteration of the melody is better synched with the instrumental.

Trivia Edit

  • This is the first rip to incorporate music that isn't from a video game either directly or indirectly.
  • This rip was the 3rd most viewed video on the GiIvaSunner channel, as of April 4, 2016[8]. On the SiIvaGunner channel, it's currently the 87th most viewed video, as of July 2017.
  • Curiously, the SiIvaGunner reupload's description originally listed "Nintendo 64, Nintendo 3DS" in the "Platform:" line[9]. Later it was changed to just "Nintendo 64". The original GiIvaSunner version also only listed "Nintendo 64" as the platform.
  • The GiIvaSunner upload's description didn't originally include a catchphrase (as of Feb 26, 2016[10]). It was added sometime before Mar 15, 2016[11].
